six word fridays: hope

18 03 2011

hope is a thread held between

the fingers of thousands plus more,

taut to the point of snapping.

hope is eternally felt, shared, given.

taking desperate optimism and shaping it

into relief, comfort and eventually…peace.

This Six Word Fridays is dedicated to the people of Japan. To offer my support, I have contributed $25 to Save the ChildrenPlease consider donating to this or another aid program to offer the people of Japan a tangible gift of hope.

One easy way to give is to visit Melissa’s blog at Making Things Up. For every comment left on her #sixwordfriday post, Melissa is donating to Save the Children.

I love the image of hope as a thread held by the many. By writing and reading about hope today, we are grabbing on to that thread.

Desperate optimism. That is powerful!

Hi Christine. That is what I imagine hope must be at times to the people of Japan, and elsewhere in the world, struggling to rebuild, survive.
