six word fridays: home

19 11 2010

home –  my favourite place to be

sometimes a chaotic place; mostly restful

a lot of times messy – doh!Six Word Fridays

we make chocolate chip cookies often

come over anytime and have some

the door is always open here,

always a place of refuge – truly.

as all homes ought to be

This is another entry for Six Word Fridays, a meme started by Melissa at Making Things Up. Why don’t you check out what it’s all about and then write your own?

I’m with you, cooking makes a home. It fills the home with sights, sounds, tastes and memories

yes, especially if you get to be the one walking in the door when the cookies are just out of the oven! (this is rarely me as i’m the appointed baker of this home) 🙂

If its messy, its home.
I wish I could make a good batch of chocolate chip cookies.
We’re a brownie bunch here…those don’t seem to burn as easy.
Home just isn’t as welcoming when it smells like burnt cookies.
“always a place of refuge – truly.
as all homes ought to be” ~very nice and very true. 🙂
